In-Person Recertification Credit Options
There are a lot of ways to earn recertification credits for all of the HR certification programs, from attending SHRM chapter meetings and SHRM conferences at the local, state, and national levels. There is even an HR Conference Cruise, which I highly recommend (I've presented on the cruise a few times and am planning to go back. It's awesome. You should totally go!).
Very Affordable Virtual Recertification Credits
In-person events are a great way to earn credits, but they're not the only option. You can also earn recertification credits virtually. If you're looking for the lowest cost, most convenient option to earn recertification credits, I highly recommend the HR.com Membership Program.
Their membership program includes unlimited access to webcasts that are preapproved for HRCI credit (including a lot that offer Specified Business/Strategic credit) and that attendees can submit to SHRM for recertification credit. You can subscribe for one year ($250) or three years ($500).
I complete several of their webcasts every year, filling in what I need above and beyond the in-person events I attend. Not only am I able to earn the recertification credits I need this way, but I also learn a lot from the sessions.
